Lots going on at the moment! We've just confirmed the next Making Waves party which is set to be another great night at The New Empowering Church up in Hackney town & we have a live performance from the awesome punk-funk dance band SPEKTRUM!
This bands debut album 'Enter The Spektrum' released in '94 on Playhouse was a musical turning point for me back then and we had it on repeat at house party's along with the likes of Mu - Afro finger & Gel & Trevor Jackson's Playgroup which i was introduced to by my pal Mark. All great stuff and still sounds wicked today!
Enough reminiscing - Spektrum have a new release 'Ambush in Istanbul' with a great remix from our good friend and rising superstar Kiwi. Live the band are something else - you gotta see it.
Its been a while and we've been a little slack on posts.. for that.. im sorry. BUT.. we do have a really nice new Acid Soul mix for you from Leftside Wobble and news of our April party on the 26th with the talented NANCY WHANG of Lcd Soundsystem, which we are really looking forward to!

Finally got round to watching Whateverest at the weekend, a weird and wonderful insight to real life 'Inspector Norse' which formed the inspiration for Todd Terje' track of the same name which has been the recent stalwart of every good disco dance floor going. Enjoy.
And we're back! 2013 - New artwork series from Biology Project's Kev Scully - Some fine guests lined up for the next few months which means some good music and fun parties to come at The Book Club.
We kick things off on the 25th with the return of Mushrooms Project who have a upcoming release on Leng Records - we expect a teaser for this on the night! We are also very excited to have the balearic aficionado Paul 'MUDD' Murphy (Smith & Mudd / Claremont 56) joining the Mushrooms for this one. Check out the below interview on Heads Down for a little insight.
